Sort Description
Based on a unit exercise, pupils establish their own television channel, its logo, design one day's program according to their interests and present through school television channel one of the shows of that program.
This activity is a group/collaborative activity on creative writing.

This activity aims at developing linguistic/verbal and spatial intelligences but developed and many of the other types of intelligence, such as:

Interpersonal intelligence: good with communication

Intrapersonal intelligence: good with analyzing things

Musical intelligence: good with rhythm
TV Channels
Activity 7
Tools and programs:
An account for the Livestream site which offers for free the ability for creation a television station and for broadcasting a television program, a PC with camera ( I used three at the same time) and a projector (or a smartboard if there is any) .
Duration: 10-11 hours
About 1 hour for the concept development. 1 hour for TV Channels logo and the relative poster, 1 hour for the one day programs creation, 1 hour for the schedule and the script writing of the shows, 1 hour for the teams collaboration with the teacher so as to prepare the relative archives for the show ( photos, songs, videos etc.) .2-3 hours for rehearsals. 2 hours for broadcasting the shows, 1 hour to watch the recording of the broadcast and the necessary feedback.
Targets
For Students to:

improve in written expression and creative writing using their imagination.

Become CEOs of a TV channel creating from the scratch their own channel and its original logo.

Express their TV interest scheduling their desireble program

Become actors , directors, script writers, newscasters, so as to complete their projects.

Learn about TV and how a program can be broadcasted.

Work collaborativelly.
For teacher to:

Help students develop their personal oral and written expression.

Stimulate pupils to be actors , newscasters/ journalists so as to search for resources to complite a role/ an article.

Development pathway
Step 1: Students are asked to create their own channel brand name and its logo.
Step 2: Students are asked to create one day's program according to their interests and the ideal for them channel
Step 3: Students are asked to decide, as a team, about a show - from their already made channel's program- and to write the script.
Step 4: Teacher and students have to collaborate so as to prepare the nesessary for the show archives( photos, videos, songs etc.)
Step 5: Preparαtion of the live stream studio for the show.
Step 6: Theacher has to give time to teams to make some rehearsals with their shows.
Step 7: Informing the Head -Teacher and pupils' Parents about the activity and ask them for their permission to put their children in a live TV show via internet.
Step 8: Arrangement of the details of the show - the order of appearance of each group, the way they will switches between the groups etc.
Step 9: After the show we are watcing the recording for the necessary brainstorming about other subjects development with the same activity and feedback about the the whole show , the set up, students impressions etc.
